The rules

Free and optional. It changes nothing about scores, rank, search or inclusion.
A badge that is live on your site makes the listing Verified: first in its market’s directory, with a direct link back. Still no change to any score.
No badge shows a score. The moat badge shows your band (wide or narrow) and, if it applies, that you are in your market’s ten widest moats.
The moat badge follows your rating, refreshed daily. If your product no longer rates a wide or narrow moat, it shows “Listed on FalcoScan” instead.
Every badge is a small image, cached for a day, so it adds next to nothing to your page.
