Privacy Policy
Last updated September 15, 2026
The short version
We collect what we need to run Falcoscan: your email if you sign up, how you use the site, and billing records if you buy something. Stripe handles payments, so we never see your card number.
We don’t sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing friends@falcoscan.com.
1.Who we are and what this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Falcoscan (“Falcoscan”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you use falcoscan.com and our related emails, reports and services (the “Service”). It applies alongside our Terms of Service.
2.Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password, which our authentication provider stores in hashed form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
How you use the Service. We record activity such as searches, tools you view, save or click, markets you track, and collections you create, linked to your account if you’re signed in or to a random session identifier if you’re not.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to the Pulse, we store your email address, where you signed up, and when you gave consent.
Tool submissions and vendor requests. If you submit a tool or ask us about your listing, we collect the details you provide, such as the tool’s name, website and description, and your contact information.
Purchases. When you buy a plan or report, Stripe collects your payment details directly. We receive and store your name, email address, billing country or address, what you bought, the amount, the payment status and Stripe’s reference IDs, plus any answers you give at checkout (such as your tool’s website). We never receive or store your full card number.
Communications. If you email us, we keep the messages and your contact details.
Device and analytics data. Like most websites, we and our analytics provider collect technical data such as browser type, device, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages visited, referring site and timestamps. See cookies and analytics.
3.How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Service, including your account, tracked markets and saved tools.
- Process payments, deliver reports and monitoring, and manage subscriptions.
- Send service emails, such as receipts, order confirmations and account notices.
- Send the Pulse newsletter and market updates you asked for.
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don’t use your personal information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4.Legal bases (EEA and UK)
If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information to perform our contract with you (running your account and purchases), for our legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service, provided those interests aren’t overridden by your rights), with your consent (such as the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time), and to comply with legal obligations (such as keeping tax records).
7.How long we keep it
We keep account information for as long as your account is open, and delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period after you ask us to close your account. We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. We keep purchase and billing records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, which is often up to seven years. We keep usage data only as long as it’s useful for running and improving the Service, and may keep it longer in aggregated, de-identified form.
8.Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and database rules that limit each user to their own records. Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS–certified payment processor, so card details never reach our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
9.Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know what we collect, to delete and correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don’t sell or share it), and not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, email friends@falcoscan.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any issue. If you’re in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10.International transfers
Falcoscan and its service providers operate in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
11.Children
The Service isn’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and give notice of material changes by email or on the Service.
