AI market data you can check.

Falcoscan tracks 7,031 AI companies: what each one does, where it is based, how its market is moving and whether it is still operating. Here is what is in the dataset, and how it is kept honest.

Every company, checked before it counts

A company enters the dataset when we can confirm what it does and where it is. Each record carries the same fields, so any two companies can be compared.

Identity

What it is

Name, one-line description, market, website and the tags people search it by.
Location

Where it is built

Headquarters country, and city where we can confirm it, checked for every company in the dataset.
Stage

How far along it is

Founding year and the last funding stage we could verify, from pre-seed to public.
Product

How it sells

Pricing model, whether there is a free tier and whether it offers a public API.
Scores

How it compares

Heat, opportunity, saturation and wrapper risk, each 0 to 100, defined on the methodology page.
Status

Whether it is still here

Operating, acquired or shut down, so a list never quietly includes companies that are gone.

29 markets, scored every night

Each market gets three numbers: heat (how much is happening), opportunity (how much room there is) and saturation (how crowded it is). The chart shows where the gap between opportunity and saturation is widest today.

Most room: opportunity minus saturation
Healthcare71
Legal69
3D & AR/VR64
Gaming64
Real Estate63
Research62

Scores are recomputed every night and written to a daily snapshot, so you can see a market heat up or cool down over weeks rather than reading one number in isolation.

Every formula is public. Read the methodology, or open the Market Terminal to compare all 29.

Which companies are moving

Each company carries a momentum label (hot, rising, stable or cooling) and a heat score, so a ranking reflects what is happening now rather than who launched first.

2,013 hot right now

Operating companies we currently rate as hot, across every market.

328 new this month

Companies added to the dataset in the last 30 days, after the same checks as everything else.

Ranked by heat

Sort the whole catalogue by heat, opportunity or saturation, and filter by market, city, stage and momentum.

We record when companies shut down

Most directories list a product forever. We check. Of 7,030 companies checked, 589 had shut down and 162 had been acquired (2026-09-16).

Shut down

Marked as such and kept, so you can see which markets lose companies fastest and why.

Acquired

Recorded separately, because an acquisition is an outcome, not a failure.

Never counted as live

Rankings, counts and alternatives only include companies that are still operating.

Watch any company, and see what changed

Members pick the companies they compete with, or invest around, and see them side by side. Heat, momentum and status are recorded every day for every company someone watches, so a change shows up as a change, not as a surprise.

Side by side

Heat, momentum, opportunity, saturation and stage for your own product and its rivals, in one table.

What moved

Heat gained or lost since you started watching, and when a rival turns hot, cools, is acquired or shuts down.

In your workspace

Next to the full ranking, markets, cities and funding, with a panel for any company or market you open.

How we collect it and check it

Three steps, in order. Nothing is published until it has been through the second.

1 · Collect

Public sources

Company websites and product pages, public announcements, and official registries. In Singapore, for example, headquarters are matched against the government’s Startup SG records.
2 · Check

Research and verification

Every company’s headquarters is checked; duplicates and rebrands are merged; and products are checked for whether they still operate. That is how 589 shutdowns and 162 acquisitions were found.
3 · Score

Scored and snapshotted

Scores are recomputed every night and market scores are saved daily, so history builds and any number can be traced to a date.

Makers can submit their products, and corrections from anyone go to one inbox. No company can pay for its scores or its place in a ranking. See the sponsorship policy.
