This is a reference rather than an argument. One row for each of the twenty-nine markets we track, carrying every market-level measure we publish — heat, opportunity, saturation, room, population, mortality, wrapper risk, API coverage, free-tier rate and average rating — taken on a single day and frozen there. If you need to cite one number about an AI market, it is probably in this table.
The short version
- 29 markets, 6,441 live products, 7,030 tracked including those that have shut down.
- Widest gap: Healthcare at +71. Narrowest: Writing at -24.
- Highest failure rate: Gaming at 32.9%. Lowest: Security at 2.7%.
- Thinnest market: Writing at 55 average wrapper risk. Thickest: AI Models at 7.7.
What each column means
Heat blends growth signal, trend, opportunity, recency and rating into one 0–100 figure; the weights are on our methodology page. Opportunity is the average across the market’s live products of how much unmet demand each addresses. Saturation is how contested the market is. Room is opportunity minus saturation, and is the column most of our analysis turns on.
Live and tracked differ by the products that have shut down or been acquired. Mortality is the share of tracked products that no longer resolve to a working product, from the September liveness sweep. Wrapper risk is the market’s mean 0–100 score for dependence on a general-purpose model it does not own. API and free tier are percentages of the products where we have a recorded answer, not of the whole market. Rating is the mean user rating, and is the weakest column here — see our note on it.
Every market, by room to build
The primary ordering. Room is opportunity minus saturation; a negative figure means average saturation now exceeds average opportunity.

Share of tracked products that no longer resolve to a working product. Falcoscan liveness sweep, 16 September 2026.
The two orderings barely overlap, which is the most useful single observation this reference supports. Room and mortality are close to independent: a market can be wide open and dangerous (Gaming, +64 room and 32.9% mortality) or narrow and safe (Coding, +16 and 6.0%). Any analysis that treats “open” and “good to enter” as the same thing is collapsing two columns that do not move together.
Using this
These figures are frozen as of 16 September 2026 and will not change, which is the point of publishing them this way: a number cited from this page reads the same in a year. For the current state of any market, the Market Terminal Dashboard tracks all of these live.
Three cautions carried over from our note on what these columns can and cannot do. Saturation is a market property and identical for every product inside one. API and free-tier percentages are computed against recorded answers rather than the full market, so a market with thin coverage will have a noisier figure. And the catalog is a sample of what became visible enough to list, which means every mortality figure is a floor rather than an estimate.

Citing these numbers
Every figure here is from the Falcoscan catalog as it stood on 16 September 2026, and is frozen at that reading. Later changes to the catalog will not alter this page, so a number you quote today will still say the same thing when someone checks it.
