What Altrove does
Altrove combines physics-based AI models with automated lab synthesis to design and manufacture substitutes for critical materials such as rare-earth magnets, working roughly ten times faster than conventional materials R&D, the company says. It targets industries including energy, robotics, electric vehicles and aerospace that depend on supply-constrained inorganic materials. Altrove was founded in Paris in 2024 and used cloud GPU infrastructure from Storj to scale its AI platform, according to the company. It raised a $10M seed round on October 31, 2025, led by Alven, bringing total funding to $14M, per Tech.eu.
