Edailabs makes Emma, a mobile app that helps Gen Z users practice English through immersive, real-time conversations with a 3D AI avatar rather than static lessons. The company says more than 500,000 learners globally use the app, which was named the only edtech company in VivaTech's Top 100. Edailabs was founded in Paris in 2023 by Etienne Genvrin and has developed Emma since January 2025, according to the company.
