What Neural MMO Research does
Neural MMO is a free, open-source research platform that simulates populations of AI agents in a massively multiplayer style virtual world. It is aimed at reinforcement learning researchers studying general, multi-agent behaviour. In the environment, teams of agents gather food and water, level up professions, craft consumables and ammunition, trade on a global market, fight with melee, range and magic styles, and battle NPCs on procedurally generated maps. Version 2.0 is in soft launch, and the software is free to use.
