Thunders, formerly known as Thunder Code, builds AI test agents that generate, execute and maintain software test suites from plain-English descriptions instead of scripts. The company says its agents cover web, mobile, API and desktop testing, use configurable "AI personas" such as accessibility and security testers, and integrate with CI/CD tools including GitHub, GitLab and Jenkins. Thunders was founded in Paris in November 2024 by Expensya co-founders Karim Jouini and Jihed Othmani, who previously sold Expensya for a reported $120 million. AfroTech reports the founders are targeting a software-testing market expected to exceed $100 billion by 2027.
