What Whispp does
Whispp builds real-time, on-device audio-to-audio AI that reconstructs whispered or otherwise affected speech into a person's clear, natural-sounding voice, with all processing happening on-device (audio never leaves the device) at under 120 milliseconds of latency. The company says it was started for people who lost their voice to illness or who stutter severely, and its technology now also supports private and voice-anonymized calling. Whispp licenses native SDKs to mobile, PC and wearable OEMs (optimized for Qualcomm, Arm and AMD chipsets) rather than selling a standalone consumer app. Whispp B.V. was registered in Leiden in May 2020, founded by Joris Castermans (who stutters) and Akash Raj Komarlu; the company's own materials trace its origin story to work beginning in 2018.
