What T2 does
T2 develops autonomous-driving technology for 10-ton trucks, combining LiDAR, camera, and radar sensor fusion with vision-language-model scene understanding to handle tunnels, construction zones, and lane changes. The company started commercial Level 2 autonomous operations in July 2025 with logistics partners Sagawa Express and Seino Transportation, running through "TransGate" hubs in Kanagawa and Kobe where trucks switch between autonomous and manual driving. T2 was founded with technical support from Preferred Networks and backing from Mitsui & Co. The company says it is targeting Level 4, driverless trunk-line operation by 2027.
